For our Client we are currently looking for Candidates for the position of:

Azure Data Factory Developer

Location: remote 

Branch: project in insurance

Job type: B2B (with Hays Poland)

Length: long-term cooperation, first contract for 12 months

Rate: 130-147,5 PLN/h net on B2B

Start date: 1st of April

Working hours: Business Working Hours

Remote work: 100% remote, Once a month for first 3/4 months trips to Netherlands

Project for a large client from the Insurance sector

What will you do:

• Design, develop, and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines and data flows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
• Implement data quality checks, data validation, and error handling mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
• Optimise data movement and transformation performance by using techniques such as partitioning, compression, caching, and parallelism.
• Integrate Azure Data Factory with other Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Key Vault to build scalable and secure data solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and debug Azure Data Factory pipelines and data flows using tools such as Azure Monitor, Azure Data Factory Analytics, and Azure Data Studio.
• Document and test Azure Data Factory solutions and ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
• Automate and orchestrate Azure Data Factory workflows using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
• Develop custom activities and transformations using C# or .NET when needed.

What we expect from you:

• Minimum 4 years of commercial experience with Azure Data Factory
• Azure Data Factory Knowledge: Understand the fundamentals of Azure Data Factory, including its components, data movement activities, data transformation capabilities, and integration with other Azure services
• ETL Concepts: Possess a strong understanding of ETL concepts, including data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Familiarity with data warehousing principles and dimensional modeling is also beneficial
• SQL: Proficiency in SQL is essential for querying and manipulating data stored in various databases and data warehouses. Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or Azure Data Studio is valuable
• Data Integration Skills: Ability to integrate data from diverse sources such as databases, files, APIs, and streaming data sources using Azure Data Factory pipelines. Experience with data ingestion techniques and data integration patterns is preferred
• Azure Services Integration: Familiarity with other Azure services such as, Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Key Vault for building end-to-end data solutions
• Data Transformation: Proficiency in data transformation activities within Azure Data Factory, including data cleansing, data enrichment, data aggregation, and data masking. Experience with using Data Flow activities and custom transformations using Mapping Data Flows is a plus
• Very good command of spoken and written English (min. B2)

What would be a plus

• Scripting and Programming: Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python for automation tasks, managing Azure resources, and orchestrating ETL workflows. Understanding of C# or .NET may also be beneficial for developing custom activities
